Harold Linke sculpts movement, sometimes figurative, sometimes abstract. For thirty years he has found gestures in life that connect what we know with what we do not know. These gestures--metaphors really--form the basis of his work. “Top of the World” captures the moment when a dream is reached…a mountain is conquered…a moment of joy is celebrated. While abstract, it clearly states what the future will be—one world immediately in your hands. Concave and convex surfaces show the yin and yang of everyday life and the smoothly curved lines represent our flexibility as we face life’s new challenges.
See & Respond
Following the installation of the sculptures, area poets and visual artists will be invited to participate in a juried art show, “See and Respond!” where artists create a piece inspired by one of the sculptures. There will be cash prizes awarded in multiple categories. Visit the See & Respond page for more information.
