The City of Lafayette Historic Preservation Board has openings on the Board.

Candidates should have a genuine interest in the history of Lafayette and professional or personal experience in one or more of the following areas:  architecture, history, historic preservation, archeology, planning, anthropology, building trades, real estate or law; however lack of professional experience should NOT deter citizens from applying.

General Information
The Historic Preservation Board meets on the first Monday of each month, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.  Members serve four-year terms.  The Board reviews and refers nominations for historic landmark designation to the City Council and promotes historic preservation through a variety of programs.

Interviews:  Interviews will be held at 6:30 p.m. during the next available Historic Preservation Board meeting at City Hall.
