Calling all Lafayette businesses, large and small!  All business and commercial property owners in Lafayette are invited to participate to showcase and celebrate their sustainability accomplishments. Watch for 2017 applications coming soon.

In 2015, 41 Lafayette businesses took advantage of the free resources and support available to help lower operating expenses while saving energy and water, reducing waste and encouraging more sustainable transportation. These businesses also received valuable publicity for their efforts, and publicity for this year’s participants will be enhanced with additional local newspaper ads featuring participating businesses.

Lafayette Green Businesses will also receive Gold, Silver or Bronze decals to convey their dedication to sustainability to their customers.  In the fall, there will be recognition by City Council, and a celebration event with prizes!

The City of Lafayette, the Lafayette Energy Sustainable Advisory Committee (LESAC), the Lafayette Waste Reduction Advisory Committee (WRAC), Xcel Energy and Boulder County’s Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE) have partnered to offer the recognition opportunity.

The Green Business Recognition program was funded in part by the Sustainability Matching Grant program, established by Boulder County in 2014 to support sustainability priorities within communities in the county.

Note: Find out if you qualify for a 3% tax credit for your Green Business investments!
