Last September Lafayette joined the Flatirons Library Consortium, giving our community access to materials in the collections of the Broomfield, Boulder, Louisville and Longmont Public Libraries. Later this month, Loveland will join the FLC, expanding our customers’ access with the 155,700 additional items in their collection.
This month Lafayette has joined Prospector, a network of forty-four academic, public and special libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. Our connection to Prospector will give Lafayette library patrons access to more than 30 million books, journals, DVDs, CDs, videos and other materials held in the Prospector member libraries. With a single search, patrons can find materials and request free delivery to our local library. So now when you search Lafayette’s catalog and do not find what you are looking for, you may access Prospector to expand your search.
There is also be a graphic link at the end of your Lafayette search results page that will give you access to the Prospector collection. Follow the on screen prompts to make item requests or call the library at 303-665-5200 for assistance.
