Lafayette Police Department is offering a free training for all ARTS!Lafayette volunteers who wish to help with alcohol service, id checking and sales at the 2017 Art Night Out Beer & Wine Garden. Volunteers will learn how to check ids and other required safety precautions.
ARTS!Lafayette will seek additional volunteers for jobs that do not require training.

Lafayette City Council created the Human Rights Commission (HRC) in 2016. The HRC is committed to evaluating Lafayette City government, programs and processes with an inclusive lens, with a goal of fostering equity, social justice and freedom from fear of persecution based on race, religious belief, country of origin, sexual or gender identity, physical ability or age.
The group meets monthly in order to:
? Make recommendations to City Council on ways to improve inclusivity and diversity in the City of Lafayette
? Facilitate community conversations on issues and/or occurrences of division and conflict in the City of Lafayette, and to make recommendations for ways to resolve and eliminate these
? Research, study and make recommendations to City Council and staff regarding federal, state or local government actions that may have an effect on diversity and inclusiveness in the City of Lafayette.

Keep the kids busy during winter and spring break through active play and having fun with friends! Each day could include enriching activities such as; arts and crafts, high and low energy games, science experiments, field trips or swimming! Children will need to a non-perishable lunch, morning and afternoon snacks along with a water bottle.

Lafayette Recreation will be offering a Sunday Men’s “C” Recreational league and Wednesday Men’s “C” Leisure ADULT BASKETBALL league. Season consists of an 8 game schedule and includes a post-season tournament. To check on available openings contact the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center at 303-665-0469. No Winter Leisure league.

Ages 5-15 yrs. Spring your Spring Break with Square State Skate. Escape on a 5-day camp with an elite crew of goofballs, travel to exotic skateboard destinations, skate with sponsored skaters, and explore skateboarding like you never have before! Learn some new skills and explore all the different areas of skating, from safety and etiquette to advanced park riding. Come join us for some fun and be a part of our active skateboard community. Please bring a skateboard, helmet (other pads recommended), a healthy lunch, water bottle, sunscreen and some good energy.

PEE WEE SOCCER is open to 4-5 year old boys and girls who are looking for a non-competitive activity (age determined as of April 30). The program will stress the instruction of soccer fundamentals with the emphasis on FUN and participation. The season is based on a six-week and three-game schedule.
